Interior Design Services
All aspects of interior design are within our purview at Sustainable Design Studio - custom or modular kitchens (including specialty kitchen design for specific diets), bathrooms, other custom woodworking such as trim and moldings, all interior finishes, custom or special-order furnishings, etc. We use 3D computer and hand-sketches to convey design intent. All construction drawings are done in AutoCAD or Sketch-up.LEED Project Coordination

If you choose to pursue LEED certification for your project, as your LEED Project Coordinator, Sustainable Design Studio will lead your project through the entire process of certification. We provide the required online documentation, coordinate with the project team to ensure compliance, and take your project to your desired level of certification, always keeping you and the team apprised of the status of documentation and taking the lead to ensure all steps are taken for successful certification. Sustainability Consulting
Everyone wants to be more environmentally-friendly, especially regarding their homes, but not everyone has a project that is appropriate for LEED certification. As your Sustainability Consultant, we start by learning from you - What are your goals? What is the extent of work you're willing to undertake to achieve a certain level of sustainability? We truly see "being green" as the definition of sustainability - for your home to be a place where you can live, work, play, etc indefinitely, it necessarily has to be friendly to your health and to the planet.
We can help you achieve environmental & health-friendliness as part of a design & construction project, or we also provide this service on its own. In this case, we observe and document aspects of your home, office, and your lifestyle to understand where this is room for increased sustainability. We then provide written recommendations to you, so you can either undertake these changes on your own, or we can make those changes for you.
Project Management
From inception through completion, as your Project Manager we alleviate you, our client, from potentially stressful day to day dealings that often occur on a project of sizable scale. You choose how involved you want to be, and we tailor a program that keeps you updated, but not hounded, making the entire process of design and construction simpler than you can imagine. As your trusted adviser, we give you our recommendations, and either you approve or we look for a better solution. We work with all consultants to ensure proper coordination, delivering your completed space on time and on budget.
Cost Estimating
In order for you to understand the potential costs involved in your project, we can provide a detailed cost estimate spreadsheet. This is extremely helpful in determining the scope of work. The spreadsheet is a working document used throughout the design phases of the project, and then conveniently transitions to a cost-tracking document through construction completion, so you are always aware of the costs involved. We recommend that we review this document together regularly.
